About NSLMP

The Northern Shea Leadership and Mentorship Programme (NSLMP) is a flagship donor-funded youth leadership initiative of EcoGrowth Development Initiatives Foundation (EGDIF), implemented under the SHEAPARK Resource Hub to build a continental pipeline of young leaders and entrepreneurs driving transformation in the shea economy and related green value chains.

The programme is anchored on African Youth Day (1st November) as an annual flagship convergence platform that brings together youth from Ghana and across Africa for leadership development, mentorship, innovation, and investment engagement within the shea and agribusiness sectors.

Northern Shea Leadership and Mentorship Programme youth leadership and innovation activities

NSLMP honours the legacy of Rt. Hon. Speaker Alban S.K. Bagbin by embedding his values of integrity, inclusion, and institutional development into a structured youth empowerment system focused on leadership formation and economic transformation.

The programme is implemented through a hybrid continental model combining leadership summits, innovation accelerators, mentorship networks, and entrepreneurship training designed to equip young people with practical skills in governance, agribusiness, shea value addition, and enterprise development.

Through strategic partnerships with governments, development agencies, private sector actors, and academic institutions, NSLMP positions Ghana as a continental hub for youth leadership and shea innovation while strengthening cross-border collaboration across Africa.
