The Northern Shea Queen (NSQ) Programme is a flagship leadership and women empowerment initiative of EcoGrowth Development Initiatives Foundation (EGDIF), implemented under the SheaPark Resource Hub to nurture a new generation of female leaders across Northern Ghana’s shea landscape.
The programme is designed to identify, train, and mentor young women with leadership potential to become ambassadors for the shea industry, environmental sustainability, entrepreneurship, cultural heritage, and community development.
NSQ is implemented through a structured selection process across the five northern regions of Ghana, followed by intensive leadership training, mentorship, and community engagement activities designed to build long-term impact beyond the programme cycle.
The programme integrates leadership development, entrepreneurship training, public speaking, advocacy, environmental sustainability education, and cultural promotion to equip participants with practical tools for transformation and influence.
