EGDIF
Women play a vital role in agriculture, enterprise development, natural resource management, and community transformation, yet many continue to face barriers to finance, productive assets, business development services, markets, and leadership opportunities. EGDIF's Women Economic Empowerment Programme is committed to creating an enabling environment where women can participate fully in economic activities, build resilient enterprises, and contribute meaningfully to sustainable development.
The programme strengthens women-led cooperatives, producer groups, and small and medium-sized enterprises through entrepreneurship development, financial inclusion, business management training, market access, value addition, and enterprise support. Particular emphasis is placed on empowering women engaged in the shea value chain, agribusiness, agro-processing, manufacturing, and other community-based enterprises that generate sustainable livelihoods and improve household incomes.
Through strategic partnerships, mentorship, innovation, digital inclusion, and access to investment opportunities, EGDIF seeks to expand women's participation in local and global value chains while promoting leadership, social inclusion, and economic resilience. By investing in women, the programme strengthens families, builds prosperous communities, and accelerates inclusive economic growth across Ghana and Africa.
EGDIF is headquartered in Accra, Ghana. Our team coordinates digital development initiatives, capacity-building programs, and community-focused innovation projects across Africa.
