EGDIF
Young people represent Africa's greatest asset, yet millions continue to face unemployment, underemployment, limited access to skills development, and inadequate opportunities to participate in productive economic activities. EGDIF's Youth Employment & Innovation Programme is dedicated to empowering young people with the knowledge, skills, resources, and opportunities needed to become innovators, entrepreneurs, professionals, and leaders of sustainable economic transformation.
The programme promotes green jobs, entrepreneurship development, vocational and technical skills training, enterprise incubation, digital innovation, and business mentorship. Through strategic partnerships with government institutions, the private sector, development partners, academic institutions, and industry experts, EGDIF supports young people in developing viable enterprises, accessing employment opportunities, and building competitive businesses capable of contributing to national and regional development.
By encouraging innovation, technology adoption, leadership development, financial inclusion, and access to business support services, the programme creates pathways for youth to participate actively in agribusiness, manufacturing, renewable energy, the creative economy, digital entrepreneurship, and other emerging sectors. EGDIF envisions a future where young people are not merely job seekers but job creators driving inclusive, sustainable, and resilient economic growth across Ghana and Africa.
